LCSC runs Club races on Saturday mornings from October to April at 7am and Friday evenings once a month during winter at the Lane Cove Aquatic Centre.
Racing is in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Swimmers aged from 4 years to 86 years race alongside each other. Distances are from 25m to 400m to ensure all swimmers of all abilities can compete.
Lane Cove Swim Club has families where three generations are involved in swimming, with some members involved with the club for over forty years.
The Club runs a range of events throughout the year.
The Club Championships are open to all members. To be eligible to swim, members must have competed at a minimum of three Saturday morning Club meets.
The events are held in one or a series of weekend meets in February/March.
Each swimmer can enter 8 events.
The Annual Mile
The Roma Edmunds Memorial Mile is held each year around February.
It is swum over 32 laps of the 50m pool. This is a great event that is open for all members.
Entries are handicapped so you swim with swimmers your speed.
There is a prestigious trophy for the winners.
Swimmers are acknowledged for their participation and achievements over the swim season.
This event is usually held towards the end of May or in early June.
The club has recently run senior (residential) and junior swim camps during school holidays.
These provide a fantastic opportunity for squad members to continue training plus experience other age appropriate team oriented non-swimming activities.
A range of social, swimmer development and fundraising activities are held throughout the year.
