Swim Club Activities

LCSC runs Club races nearly every Saturday morning from October-April at 7am and Friday evenings once a month during winter at Lane Cove Aquatic Centre.

Racing is in a relaxed and friendly environment.  Swimmers aged from 4 years to 86 years race alongside each other.  Distances are from 25m to 400m to ensure all swimmers of all abilities can compete.  Lane Cove Swim Club has families where three generations are involved in swimming, with some members involved with the club for over forty years.

The Lane Cove Swim Club calendar includes a range of activities all year round.  In addition to the events the club organises, Lane Cove Swim Club actively supports local initiatives in the Lane Cove community.

Spring Carnival - competitive meet organised by LCSC at Lane Cove Aquatic Centre during Spring involving clubs from all around Sydney.

Club Championships - The Club Championships are open to all members. To be eligible to swim, members must have competed at a minimum of three Saturday morning Club sessions.

The events are on over a series of weekends in February. Each swimmer can enter 7 aged events and up to 3 "Open" events (400, 800 and 1500m).

Annual Mile Swim -The Roma Edmunds Memorial Mile is held each year around February.

It is swum over 32 laps of the 50m pool. This is a great event that 8-80 year olds can manage. Entries are handicapped so you swim with swimmers your speed. There is a prestigious trophy for the winner on handicap.

Club Presentation Dinner - Swimmers are acknowledged for the participation and achievements.  This event is usually held in end May/early June.
